District Summer Service Social
Who can attend?
Any dues paid member of Circle K International. If you haven't paid yet talk to your club treasurer and ask them how.

You must register for the event by completing the registration form.

What is going on?
Circle K members from all across California, Nevada, and Hawaii will be getting together to meet our sponsoring organization – Kiwanis! We will be spending a majority of our time at the Kiwanis District Convention Site helping with our Circle K Supply Sales, Informational booths, and of course, our service projects! This year, we will also be hosting a Key to College for the local Key Clubs (within 35 miles of the convention site). Our events following the convention schedule include an Eat for Service at Souplantation and all proceeds will go towards our third, new District Fundraising Initiative: Starlight Starbright. Our other social event is attending the San Diego Zoo with our Kiwanis, where we will also be having a Service Scavenger Hunt. This is a fun-filled weekend at our District Summer Service Social!

What kinds of service projects will we be doing?
We will be holding our service projects on-site at the convention center so that everyone can actively and fully participate in all aspects of the event. We have a variety of activities available for you including our supply sales and booths.

Thursday: Comfort dolls – We will be making comfort dolls out of wooden clothespins, fabric, and markers to be donated to children.
Friday: Greeting Cards and Origami – We will be sending greeting cards and origami items to chronically ill children to brighten up their days.
Saturday: Coloring Pages and Crayon Packaging – We will be putting together coloring pages and packaging crayons to donate to local Children’s Hospitals.

How do I get involved with the Key to College?
The Kiwanis Family Committee and the Service Committee are currently working on an agenda for the Saturday event. We are definitely looking for workshop hosts – just contact me at service@cnhcirclek.org to sign up.

What is included in my registration fee?
Your registration to DSSS includes entrance to the Kiwanis District Convention to help Circle K with supply sales, service projects, and our informational booth. In addition, you will be able to meet Kiwanis family from throughout CNH. A couple of meals are also included with your registration. If you are staying at the Super 8 Motel, there is a continental breakfast. The Zoo is an optional fee. In order to attend DSSS, you must register by August 5th.
