CNH Stands in Solidarity with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Communities

Dear California-Nevada-Hawai’i District of Circle K International,
Our District stands in solidarity against all forms of racial violence.
We acknowledge the rising number of hate crimes affecting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities across the United States. Seemingly, daily, there have been hate crimes reported.
Recent hate crimes have targeted the vulnerable and elderly. We are heartbroken and grieving for the death of eighty-four-year-old Thai victim, Vicha Ratanapakdee from San Francisco. We are also alarmed by the face slashing of Filipino victim, Noel Quintana from New York City. Many more attacks have been reported since these incidents, and some victims are choosing to remain anonymous out of fear.
We encourage the district to raise awareness and empower the voices around you to speak up against incidences of hate targeting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Please be safe during these already heightened times and we wish for continued safety for affected families.
Please take the time to grieve and heal during these challenging times. Those who are impacted by these incidents of hate are not alone. The District Board and our Kiwanis Advisors are here to support you, and we are offering key resources recommended by our Kiwanis family.
